What will I experience?
The client will experience the ancient art of ear candling in a calm, quite and relaxed environment at one of our wellness hubs or alternatively a home visit may be requested.
How long is the duration of the treatment?
Approximately 15 minutes is required for each ear and approximately 10 minutes is required for the facial massage if this has been included as part of you treatment, additional time may be required for consultation and pre-treatment questionnaires. The client will be asked to remain relaxed and still during the entire treatment which could take from between 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Will I feel any pain or discomfort?
No the treatment is both soothing and relaxing (non-invasive), The client may feel very slight warmth and or a slight suction sensation as the candle acts like a chimney creating a vacuum to draw out impurities, the client may hear the sound of cracking or popping similar to an open fire, however the treatment is not at all painful or harmful.
How often should a client receive a treatment?
There is no recommended or set requirement for repeat treatments, However depending on the initial results and the condition of the client it could vary from person to person. Some clients may need 3 or 4 treatments initially if there is a large build up of compacted ear wax. Regular treatments will help keep the ear canals in good health. Personally I like to receive treatment every 3 months but that’s just my preference and not a recommendation. Some may prefer to have this treatment on a more regular basis.
